Healing

The Lord Jesus Christ our Savior said in Luke 4:4 “. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God”. Praise God!  God’s word is our bread, our meat, and the sustainer of our lives.  We must know the importance of God’s word to our lives.  Jeremiah spoke of God’s words, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart:  for I am called by they name, O Lord God of hosts.”  Peter said in I Peter 2:22 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby”.  The Word of God is alive full of power active in its working.  It purifies the life according to Psalms 119:9 “wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way, by taking heed thereto according to thy word”, it’s a saving power according to Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first and also to the Greek”, a probing instrument according to Heb 4:12 “For the word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”, this is greater than the best of surgeons .  The word of God is a life giving force according to Ezekiel 37:7 “So I prophesied as I was commanded:  and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone” God gave life to those bones.  And God had told Ezekiel to prophesy to those bones and He, God would breathe in the breath of Life.  Even more we must be prophets of God speaking his word, prophesying to our bodies to live and not die and allow God to breathe in the breath of life where the doctors told us there was no life.  The Word of God is absolutely trustworthy for it says in Ezekiel 12:25, “For I am the Lord:  I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged:  for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord God”.  We can be sure of the Word of God coming to pass in our lives.

Because what was completed over 2000 years ago on Calvary through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ brought about healing as part of that redemptive work. Scripture says in Isaiah 53:5 “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with His stripes we are healed”.  This is good news!  Perhaps you, a loved one, or maybe someone you know is afflicted with sickness in their body.  We know that Jesus Christ wants His healing power evident in these last days.  In Matthew Chapter 9 verse 35, scripture says that “Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”  Just as He worked then He works today.  God wants us as believers in Him to cast out devils and heal the sick as His ambassadors on earth ruling and reigning as kings and priests, His will being done on earth as it is in heaven.  I pray that this will be a blessing to the hearer and the doer of God’s word.  Hear it and then do the word by speaking it out of your mouth.  We expect God to keep His Word.  The following scriptures from the Word of God are pertaining to healing.
