Moments In Time

Holy Living...

"Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action)," 2 Timothy 3:16 (AMP)

"But don't let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teacherswhy, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother's milk! There's nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or anothershowing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God's way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us." 2 Timothy 3:14-17 (Message)

Praise God! He wants to draw us closer to Him. We have allowed ourselves to stray from the Truth, which is in Christ Jesus. We're living better and doing more than our ancestors, so we think we have arrived. We have stuff, look good, and travel throughout the world. There's certainly nothing wrong with that, but are we Holy? That's a profound question only we can individually ask ourselves! Some of us were raised in the old way (holiness or hell), some didn't come into the knowledge of Christ until later. Either way, He wants us to really KNOW Him. We can only truly know God through His word, all of it. (vs. 16) As servants of the Lord, we should be able to teach others, in patience and meekness, unto repentance. (2:24-25)

ALL that live Godly in Christ, shall suffer persecution. (3:12) It comes in different forms; through our jobs, children, spouses, health, or our finances. Have you ever thought or said, "If I wasn't saved" or " If I didn't love the Lord" I wouldn't take this, do that, stay here, or "I know how and where to get some money from"! Knowing His word positions us to know who our deliverer is! Faint Not. (Psalm 34:17, 19)

Read diligently, that it might be profitable (Vs. 16) and that you may be complete and proficient in every good work! (Vs. 17)

Let Us Pray:

Father God, help me to read your word regularly. Help me not to put things of this world before you. I surrender my life to you, in Jesus name, Amen.

Now, Walk in Holiness!!
